Second Grade Teacher

Hi there! My name is Mrs. Payton, I was born and raised in St. Petersburg, Florida. In 2013 I moved to Fort Myers to attend FGCU, and in 2017 I graduated with my bachelor’s degree. This will be my fourth-year teaching! I’m very excited to get to know each and every one of my students! I’m so grateful to be a part of the Harlem Heights Hawk family and cannot wait for a fun school year!

This year my students will expand their knowledge and skills in reading, writing, math, science, and social studies. My goal is help each student reach their highest potential and gain confidence during the process of learning. They will continue to work together in teams, build friendships, and show each other kindness. It is so important for children to be surrounded by people who believe in them. I’m looking forward to supporting my students reach their goals this year by creating a fun, positive, supportive, and encouraging environment. I can’t wait to meet you all and watch you grow throughout the school year!
